Engineering ICSE'99,
Marriot Hotel,  21-23 May 1999

The symposium on Software Reusability is a bi-annual forum, held in  conjunction  with  the  International  Conference on  Software Engineering, for  the exchange of ideas, research  and development results, and  experiences in all  aspects of  software reuse.  The theme of this symposium is "Bridging the Gap between Research and Practice" and its emphasis is to discuss how the current state of the art in the field of software reuse can be put to bear to bring about industrial standards in the practice of this discipline. SSR'99 invites you to submit unpublished, original work  to share with  the software reuse community in particular, and the software engineering community in general; we encourage submissions of an experimental, empirical, analytical or theoretical nature.  Experimental/empirical submissions are expected to highlight the application of industrial standards in the practice of software reuse; analytical/theoretical submissions are expected to highlight the industrial potential of their results and ideas.
